2001 Berthold Brecht Bladerunner Environment Movement I Movement II Screenplay Third Reich Yacht Club

l Be conscious of your movements – inhibit old patterns.
l Be conscious of your movement when you wake up.
l As we practice proper movement, it will become 2nd nature -- driving is 2nd nature.
l Teachers can only serve as a guide. You have to do the real work yourself and apply what you do.

Laying down

l Laying down is the process of achieving a "lengthened" state.
l Uncurl with the lower back laying down first; middle back, release & widen shoulders, neck, head on books.
l CORRECT FOR: Head pressed too much on books.
    Can the neck drop more?
    Are you holding your chest?
Is the lower back arched too much?
How did your arms and legs arrive?
    Are your knees pulled together?

Raising Legs

l Without uninhibiting your laying down position, move one leg; knee to ceiling, so that the leg is balanced.
l Without disturbing the raised leg, raise the other one in the same fashion.
l Use the pelvis to spread the back so that it spreads like mercury – practice.
l Consciousness of your movements and practice will make the improvements 2nd nature.
