SOLAR
DRINKING WATER
1.
Dig a hole 3 feet deep and about 4 feet in diameter in which
to set a container.
2.
Cover the hole with a plastic garbage bag and seal the edges
with dirt.
3.
Place a rock in the center of the bag to create a drip vortex.
4.
Make sure the sun strikes the ground surrounding the collector
area.
5.
Collect your fresh drinking water in the early evening.
TO
DISTILL WATER
1.
Place a clean, empty collector inside a container of
water from a questionable source.
2.
Cover the larger contaminated water container with a piece of
plastic and seal the edges.
3.
Place a rock in the center to create a drip vortex into the
clean, empty collector.
4.
Allow sunlight to evaporate the questionable water and drip it
into the clean collector.
5.
Decontaminate the exterior of the collector where it came into
contact with the questionable water.
COLLECTING
WATER FROM A PLANT
1.
Cover a corn stalk or plant section with a plastic bag.
2.
Create an evaporative reservoir near the ground and tilt a
branch toward the reservoir.
3.
Allow the sun to evaporate moisture from the plant and
condense into the reservoir.
4.
Collect the water after a few hours.
